About Me

Breastfeeding is a natural process but it isn't always easy. Finding skilled help at the right time can mean the difference between a disappointing experience and a wonderful and empowering one.

Stephanie Henry, IBCLC

My goal as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is to provide the best breastfeeding care possible to the families in our community. IBCLC is the highest credential awarded in lactation and the only one that is recognized worldwide.

I struggled with nursing my first baby and that experience is what led me to this profession. I know how overwhelming breastfeeding issues can be. There is a lot of conflicting advice floating around and when things aren't going smoothly the situation can quickly snowball. Having someone to turn to can give you peace of mind and encourage you to keep going on journey of breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding is more than just the milk and it is more than just a method of feeding a baby. It is a relationship unlike any other. I am committed to helping mothers and babies move past any roadblocks toward a normal enjoyable experience and bringing breastfeeding education to the highest level of excellence through the
CAPPA's Lactation Educator programs.
